I think life drawing can be quite intimidating, so I’m going to try to post sketches from my weekly life drawing class. It should help demystify the process to anyone who stumbles across the blog. To start with, the pictures are in chronological order. Notice that the complexity grows throughout the session. This is because the first poses last around a minute to five minutes, and steadily grow in duration. This provides a “warm up” period where you get used to looking at the figure and casually measuring proportions, how to fit the figure into the space you have without cutting off limbs, heads, etc. I’ll try to post a round up of all life drawing sessions I do in the future.
